We've made it to Guangzhou. Today we will get E's physical examination and TB test done, and drop off some laundry (thank goodness).
We are staying in the China Hotel and it is

This looks like where we stayed last time. Huge ship style staircase in the lobby? If so, there is a mall across the street, there is a really good Italian place on the side road just to the right of it about a block down. Close to McD's and *$'s too, no suffering for basics there. There was also a small shop just in front of the mall for soda and snacks. Just curious, who are your guides?
